About Michael Dusi Trucking
I have built this business one beautiful truck at a time. Progress was sometimes made on the fly, sometimes as a result of careful planning, but always because I loved trucks.
I was raised in the family dryland farming business. My grandfather (Dante) grew winegrapes in Paso Robles, which my father (Mike) continues today. In addition to the grapes, my Dad grew wheat and barley in SLO and Monterey Counties, and I worked for him driving tractor and spent each and every summer since I was tall enough to reach the pedals driving a combine. As soon as I was old enough, I was “promoted” from running the combine to driving his 1978 Kenworth, hauling grain to various mills across the state. Driving a beat-up 78 KW just wasn’t going to cut it, so I sold the pickup that I loved for a down payment and bought my first Peterbilt in 1996. I called it Truck #2, as I didn’t want anyone to think I was a single truck operation. So began Michael Dusi Trucking.
Now almost 20 years later, I’m proud to say that we boast an entire fleet, consisting of a wide variety of tankers, vans, reefers, flatbeds, and a range of specialized equipment. I have brought my family values to my business. The staff and drivers that make up our team, many of whom have been with me for a long time, are extended members of the Dusi family. I can’t thank them enough for their collective commitment. Case in point; Stevie Cassera, my very first driver, is still with us today. Safety is paramount, as our track record proves, and our commitment to the best quality service never wavers.
We continue to refine things and grow as opportunities present themselves, and I can’t wait to bring my young son (Dante) onto the team when he’s tall enough to reach the pedals.
